Devices page
The Devices page is where you land after signing in. It's the inventory of every device leased to your tenant - what's free, what's in use, what's temporarily unreachable. Pick one and start a session, or pick two and run them side by side.
What you see#
A tile per device, refreshed every few seconds. Each tile shows:
- OS badge - the Apple logo in the corner.
- Name - the human-readable name, or the UDID if none has been set.
- OS and version - e.g.
iOS 17.4. - Model and screen size - when reported.
- UDID - the device's identifier.
- State - one of Available, In session, Provisioning, or Offline.
- Action button - Control → when the device is available, otherwise a placeholder dash. When someone else is in a session, their name and how long they've been in is shown instead.
If you're a tenant user (not an admin), you only see devices in workspaces you're a member of.
Device states#
- Available - online, idle, ready for you to control.
- In session - someone else is currently controlling this device. The tile shows who, and when they started.
- Provisioning - the platform is running setup on the device. Usually clears within a few seconds.
- Offline - the device is temporarily unreachable. We monitor leased devices and restore them; if one stays offline, see Device issues.
Filtering and search#
The toolbar at the top has:
- Search - matches across name, model, OS, version, UDID, and tags.
- State filter - narrow to a single state, or All.
On the right, the toolbar shows a live breakdown of how many devices are in each state. Those counts reflect your whole fleet regardless of which filter you're currently looking at, so they don't shift around as you change views.
Starting a session#
Click Control → on any available tile. The page locks the device for you and opens the Device control view with the live video feed.
If the lock fails (someone grabbed the device a split second before you), the action returns an error and you stay on the Devices page - just pick another.
Controlling two devices at once#
Each available tile has a checkbox in its top-right corner. Tick up to two devices, then use the Control button in the bar that appears at the bottom of the screen.
- The cap is two devices per session. Once you've selected two, the other checkboxes go faded.
- While a selection is active, the per-tile Control → buttons are disabled - finish the multi-select flow or click Cancel to go back to single-device mode.
- Selecting one device and pressing the bar's Control button is equivalent to clicking that tile's Control →.
For the dual-device control screen itself, see Dual-device control.
Nothing showing up?#
A few common reasons:
- No devices have been assigned yet. If you've just subscribed, we're still preparing them - check the Leased devices: X / Y counter on Admin → Devices. See How leasing works.
- No active subscription. Without one, devices are released back to the platform. See Subscription & devices.
- You're a tenant user, not a tenant admin, and the devices live in a workspace you're not a member of. Ask an admin to add you - see Workspaces explained.
